Acer to sell Android netbook PCs in 2009 Q3

 TAIPEI, June 2, 2009 (Reuters) - Acer Inc, the world's No. 3 PC brand, plans to sell netbook PCs that run on Google's Android operating system, posing a potential threat to Microsoft's Windows.

Android 2.0 Donut Showcased At Google I/O

 

During today's Google I/O keynote the Donut branch of the Android platform (to eventually be known as Android 2.0), had it's various features demoed to the waiting audience.

18-20 Android Phones Expected By The End Of 2009

Google's senior director for mobile platforms Andy Rubin, has revealed that by the end of 2009 there will be at least 18 Android phones available worldwide.
